Piano fingers test and exercise
Piano playing is a very complex process which includes many different musical, cognitive, emotional, and physical abilities; All of which an expert pianist possesses.
Piano Test & Exercise focuses on testing and enhancing a relatively narrow group of physical and cognitive abilities:
- Speed and accuracy of reading piano finger patterns
- Parallel thinking and multiple reaction
- Manual gumption
- Conscientiousness of each individual finger on our hands
- Manual learning ability
- Memory and "manual memory" (Memory of the hands)
The Random test examines speed of perception, recognition and finger reaction. It also enhances and wakes up the consciousness of every finger, builds condition reflexes between seeing numbers and reaction of fingers, which is a desirable attribute of a good pianist.
The Sequential test examines and enhances rather different abilities of a piano player than the random test. It concentrates on the fingers' "learning" ability .
Both tests can be done with one, or two hands.
Results of the tests and exercises are logged in a separate text file, and can be used to monitor progress or further editing in text processors.
The best interpretation of the results is to view the text file. After each sequence, the software writes the number of points for each hand and each sequence, thus enabling you to examine progress in accuracy and in speed.
If the results progress, it usually means the pupil has a good learning ability. On the other hand, if the results go down hill it usually means they are incapable of concentrating. The first tests at schools demonstrated a high correlation between good results in tests and good results in actual piano playing, and vice-versa.

Step-By-Step Note Teacher
Learning how to read musical notes and sheet music can be easy and fun through our software
Step-By-Step Note Teacher makes it easy to learn, practice and enhance the abilities of reading musical notes and sheet music.
Our easy to use learning tool utilizes unique algorithms for learning through repetition, motivation, gradual difficulty, and variable corrections. This provides you with a stable, efficient, as well as rewarding learning experience.
Step-By-Step Note Teacher can be configured for different learning levels: from two notes (easiest) to a full 6 octave note range in both clefs. This method enables the user to learn in a way that is right for their beginning level of knowledge. There is also a note counting tool that teaches the basics of musical values and counting.
Wrong answers can be optionally corrected, and can be configured for any combination of picture and/or voice correction.
Motivational methods for kids include a "cheering up" mode, and symbolic cartoon prizes at the end of a well scored test.
Every exercise is logged in a separate text file, for ease of tracking the progression of the user's reading ability.
